When my son was 18 months old and I was pregnant with my daughter, I escaped a painting project in Chicago by visiting New England. I visited my sister in Portsmouth, NH, and drove to Mount Desert Island. That is a LONG DRIVE. Kudos to you for taking it on. It is beautiful, though. I love Maine!
